Territory Sales Representative

OPPORTUNITY

  • This role will support our company’s growth and profitability strategy, by becoming a brand ambassador and an advocate for our diverse product lines.

  • Identify and qualify new opportunities with existing customers and potential prospects.

  • Understand and anticipate customer requirements, based on seasonal and industry trends

  • In person customer visits within a geographic territory/network; at least once every 8 weeks to review inventory and share new product information.

  • Generate and transmit sales reports & orders on a daily basis, using our iPad based sales tool.

  • Manage customer concerns and discrepancies, with the support of our Customer Service department, escalating more serious issues to Management.

  • Attend Conference and Trade shows as required.

  • Constant daily travel; you need to be in the field (no home office), visiting customers and generating sales every day. Some overnight travel be required.

  • Compliance with Giftcraft policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree, College Diploma or equivalent industry experience.

  • At least 1 year of previous work experience in Retail, Sales or Business Development capacity.

  • Tenacious, self-starter, highly motivated mindset.

  • Proactive approach; ability to work independently and report results back to Management.

  • Highly organized, disciplined and effective at time management; ability to meet deadlines is imperative.

  • Exceptional Interpersonal skills; confident, enthusiastic and a friendly demeanor.

  • Ability to listen, negotiate and effectively persuade others.

  • Technically proficient with IOS devices (Ipad, Iphone, etc.) and Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work from a home office and access to reliable transportation.

Position Summary:

  • Effectively sources leasing prospects and builds/maintains positive relationships with current tenants in order to achieve sales/leasing goals

Position Description:

  • Develops annual sales plan for assigned industry(ies) by setting budget and achieving revenue goals

  • Initiates contact with renewals and executes paperwork within 30-60 days of lease renewal date

  • Effectively utilizes Goldmine to develop and maintain an active pipeline of prospective tenants; enters thorough and accurate information

  • Promotes, nurtures and maintains positive relationships with tenants to foster loyalty to DMC; is perceived as an active, visible liaison and instills confidence in this customer group

  • Partners effectively with internal departments in order to meet the needs of the tenant base; communicates and shares relevant information; interacts regularly with marketing to brainstorm industry(ies), identify new trends/risks and create opportunities

  • Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field

Required Experience: 

  • 4-5 years of professional sales experience; leasing experience preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements:

  • Office environment – Office Environment- Ability to sit for vast majority of work shift

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong product knowledge across both our Laura Janelle and CosmoStyle divisions

  • Understand and communicate the Laura Janelle and CosmoStyle aesthetic, brand philosophy and lifestyle to the retail customer. We sell directly to the retailers, not to consumers. Our customers are independent fashion, gift and boutique retailers.

  • Meet and exceed sales goals set by management through outbound call activity and lead generation on a consistent basis

  • Increase revenue by using outbound “cold” and “warm” calls

  • Develop a personal clientele through effective use of selling skills, proactive customer outreach and use of the current retail customer base

  • Maintain excellent follow up with customers through clear communication, pricing and lead times

  • Update CRM records and document calls daily

  • Travel to trade shows as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills:

  • Excellent listening ability required for effective sales communication

  • Prior phone sales experience required

  • Proactive ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Be goal oriented

  • Understand how to follow a lead, nurture an opportunity, and ask for the order.
